Mick Dundee

 My Name: Mick
My Sex: male
My Age: 2yr
My Breed: Pittie mix
My Weight: 52lbs
My Life Story: Mick is a 2yr old brindle pittie mix weighing 52lbs. Mick came to Lucky Dog as a local animal control call at 1230 am. We heard that a dog had been dumped in the Industrial Park near a fire hydrant. Sadly, Mick didn’t want to leave the hydrant because he thought his owner would come back for him. People were throwing him canned food and giving him water. When I went out to meet Mick and convince him to leave his hydrant  he was anxious and barky. Within an hour I had him in my truck. Since that day Mick has learned that he won’t be abandoned. He loves everyone he meets including men. He can bark to alert but isn’t much of a barker at all. He does well with all sizes of dogs and cats. He is great with kids but due to his playfulness and size could easily knock a little kid over. His ideal home would be active and have another dog to play with. Bonus points for a fenced in yard. Mick is a sweet and snuggly boy that just needs a chance. He is very sweet and listens to commands. He knows sit and down very well. We don’t know what his name was but he does respond well to Mick. He is very outgoing, social and does well at the dog park. Mick is playful and athletic and enjoys going for walks and would be a wonderful companion for any active home. His favorite person is his 14yr old foster sister so a home with kids or other playful dogs will be at the top of his list. We highly suggest a fenced in yard because she could be a runner if allowed or not watched. We do not allow underground fences for any of our rescue dogs. Mick is ready to meet his forever home!!
