Welcome Charleigh to Lucky Dog Rescue!! Charleigh is a 6yr old Miniature Pinscher weighing 10lbs. Charleigh and her sister Marleigh came to Lucky Dog after their owner passed away and the family couldn't care for them. The girls have lived their entire lives together and it is our wish to keep them together. Charleigh is a sweet and loving girl. She loves to cuddle and is one of the best snuggle buddies you could ever ask for. She does well with all ages of people, enjoys kids, and does well with other animals.
Healthwise Charleigh is doing well for a newly diagnosed diabetic. We are working on getting her blood glucose level regulated through twice daily insulin injections. She comes with a year's supply of insulin (her Insulin purchased at Walmart for $27 and a vial lasts about 3 months with her current dose). She should be tested at the vet every 6 months to make sure she is still receiving the proper dose. Charleigh has gotten much better at taking her injection and is now a pro! Charleigh and Marleigh would be a great addition to most semi-active homes!
My Medical History
My Medical History
I am or will be up to date on all necessary vaccinations, including Rabies (for pets over 16 weeks), DHLPP, and Bordetella. I’ve been microchipped (with lifetime registration to the rescue) and have had a full veterinary exam, which includes a health certificate. I have also been tested for Heartworm and three tick-borne diseases. If I’m 6 months or older, I will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If I’m still a puppy, my adoption fee covers the cost of my spay/neuter at a partner vet or reimburses you for the procedure at your vet (at the rate we pay our partner vet).
Additional medical history will be shared prior to adoption.
